20 Simple Solutions For Rough Parenting Days
We all love our little ones. But some days I think they test us just to make sure. Kids represent one of the best balances in life for me. For as much as they put the most delightful smile on your face and indescribable joy in your heart, they can equally stress you out.
It’s only my husband and me with the kids. And I am a stay-at-home mom. With no close relative or friend to at least give us one hour off, we HAVE to find creative ways to get through those rough days to at least maintain sanity.
These are some of the simple things we do.
- Clean. I know it sounds crazy but cleaning can be stress relieving.
- Grab another cup of wonderful coffee (or tea!). Say yummy!
- Have a group hug for about a minute. They would enjoy this!
- Take a shower.
- Play your favorite Music.
- Start singing and dancing.
- Take a potty break.
- Take a quick minute with the Lord.
- Read or listen to something that makes you laugh.
- Give them a treat.
- Take a drive.
- Have them play with Play-Doh.
- Take a short walk around the block.
- Let them bounce. I wish I could do this!…
- Do a simple, fun art project.
- Take a deep breath. Woosahhh!
- Put on an episode of their favorite Netflix show.
- Take a time out. When last have you just relaxed?
- Let them play with their toys in their room.
- Go to bed Early.
