Carnivore, Herbivore and Omnivore Sort, Cut And Paste Activity For Kids
Hi guys,
I am sharing a simple Carnivore, Herbivore And Omnivore Sort, Cut And Paste Activity For Kids.
I am always in need of quick hands on activities to teach my little ones. The trick for me though is trying to keep a balance between ‘fun activities’ in-between our curriculum based learning. But I am working on that!
Both my kids enjoyed doing this simple activity. Something to keep their little hands busy, while still learning. Tip: If you have a little perfectionist like one of mine, you could have them arrange the cut-out animals into the correct boxes before using glue.
Another thing, I like showing my kids additional pictures online to help them understand a point deeper. However, I do know that it can sometimes be a chance to google a particular search with the little kids around. You never know what you might get! This university website (which I am in no way connected to!!) have some simple to understand information on this topic. If you choose, you can print out the pages which will give the definitions, in a simple to understand way and examples, say if you wanted to include in a slighter older child’s learning binder. Just a suggestion

This link will take you to What is a herbivore? And from there you will also find info on:
- What is a Plant?
- What is an Omnivore?
- What is a Carnivore?
- What is a Decomposer?
- What is a Pollinator?
- The overall article I believe was looking at plants and animals surviving in an Ecodome in space. And even though that is unrelated to this topic, Carnivore, Herbivore and Omnivore Sort, Cut And Paste Activity For Kids, the rest of the article’s information is very to the point and simple to understand. Again, just providing informational suggestions.
All they would need to complete this activity are:
- Carnivore, Herbivore and Omnivore Sort, Cut And Paste Activity For Kids (My free PDF printable)
- a pair of scissors
- glue
- parental guidance (maybe)
My preschooler enjoyed doing this activity since she loves playing with glue, lol.
Until next time guys, happy homeschooling!
