How To Remove Rust Stains From Glass Effectively
There is a simple way to remove rust stains from glass effectively. And as a bonus, it is very cost-effective.
There is a multitude of cleaning solutions you can buy. Or you can simply use some of that ‘good ole’ vinegar and baking soda already stashed somewhere in your kitchen.
I am not recommending it as a natural or green way of cleaning, but as an effective one.
How To Remove Rust Stains From Glass Effectively
What you will need:
- Rust stained-glass
- Spray bottle
- Vinegar
- Baking Soda
- Non-scratching sponge
- Water
And now…
1. Spray the rust-stained area with vinegar.
2. Sprinkle with some baking soda. It will create a ‘bubble’ effect or an acid-based chemical reaction. This is where the real magic happens. (Please do not touch while the reaction is taking place to prevent the possibility of burns.) Leave it on for ten minutes.
3. Use a non-scratching sponge and scrub the area for about ten seconds.
4. Rinse, and voilà!
I also tried it on my favorite coffee cup that belonged to my husband many years before we met. (Yes, I shamefully confiscated it). It had a much older stain, and it worked pretty well on that cup.
So, any little rust stains you might have on the glass around the house can say their goodbyes. Now all you need is some time from your already busy schedules to pencil in this job. Oh well, happy cleaning!
