Hey guys, we tried these workbooks for the first time last school year. In this post, I am doing a simple review and flip through- Nonfiction Reading Comprehension Flip Through Science And Social Studies Grade 3.
The introduction is the same in both books.
Main Takeaways
-For the basic setup of these books, you have your table of contents. The introduction talks about the stories, new words, the writing link, and questions.
-And then, meeting standards. If you know Common Core is essential to you, then this is something that you might want to look through.
-There is a section before each story that has a selection of words that may or may not be new to your little ones.
-Then there is a story based around the topic being taught.
I spoke about these in my Homeschool Year In Review Post. I mentioned that I intend to use these as supplements moving forward with my two younger ones. But trying a higher grade level can also be an option if these are not challenging enough.
