Our 4th Grade Homeschool Curriculum Choices For The 2020-2021 School Year
Reading
- All About Reading Level 4 by All About Learning Press
Writing
- Writing with Ease Level 4 by Well Trained Mind as our main spine. This is going to be our main writing curriculum.
- We will also be using Writing & Rhetoric Book 1: Fable. Hopefully by the end of the school year, we will make a decision on which curriculum to continue with for writing.
Handwriting
- Cursive- We would be printing free cursive practice sheets online from handwritingworksheets.com to practice. (no affiliation)
Spelling
All About Spelling Level 4 by All About Learning Press.
Grammar
- First Language Lessons Level 4 For The Well Trained Mind by Well Trained Mind. I also got The Grammar Guidebook and The Diagramming Dictionary. The last two she would be reading as part of her required reading this year.
Logic
- Daily Higher-Order Thinking Grade 3 and 4 by Evan Moor
Math
- Math-U-See Delta by Demme Learning
Bible Study
- We will be going through Bible verses from Proverbs and Matthew. Sometimes they will write a verse down then draw and color in our Bible verse coloring pages 1. There is no perfection or right or wrong to this.
- Also, we will try a few of the kid’s devotionals from my Bible App this year.
African-American History
Readers: For Personal Reading or Read-Aloud
Science
- God’s Design for Life Complete Set by Answers In genesis (The Human Body, The World of Plants and The World of Animals). We bought this set for our first-grade curriculum. My eldest will be working with the free printables that came with this program this year. I may get the God’s Design for the Physical World Complete Set later in the school year.
- Carson Dellosa | Science Interactive Notebooks | 2nd grade, 3rd grade and 4th grade. I will be pulling from any of these this year.
Social Studies
- YouTube videos from some of our favorite YouTube learning channels.
_Geography
_Government
- How the U.S. Government Works: …and how it all comes together to make a nation
- Usborne Politics for Beginners. Both versions of these books on Amazon are the same. The only differences are one is hardcover and the wording on the front is slightly different.
_Economics

We will be continuing with the History we selected last year.

Stem Learning
We will continue to play games like ThinkFun Circuit Maze Electric Current Brain Game, Code Master and Robot Turtles.
She is still reading from, Get Coding! Learn HTML, CSS, and Javascript and Build a Website, App, and Game. This year we added Coding for Kids: Python: Learn to Code with 50 Awesome Games and Activities.
Other
Somehow, these two have been my fall back on if everything else hits the fan. And still is.
- What Your Fourth Grader Needs To Know– We use this during our night time read aloud. This year I will be reading through the Geography and History from this series as well.
- Grade 4 Brain Quest Workbook.
- Lots of play!
