YouTube is an excellent resource for learning. As a homeschooler, I use YouTube to add a bit of fun to my kids learning and to help them keep engaged. It also serves to expose them to learning so much more.

The thing with YouTube however, is that finding relative videos could be overwhelming sometimes. This is The Ultimate YouTube Resource List-Preschool And Kindergarten By Subject Areas.

For instance, I use YouTube to do simple ‘unit’ studies with them. My oldest for some strange reason was asking me about Planets every day at some point. I was able to use Kids Learning Tube’s Channel to teach them about the planets and more. Now both she and her sister know all the planets, the dwarf planets and various facts about each. And I am a proud mamma. And when I and the kiddos just want to giggle together we love watching StoryBots!

Just a few additional things to point out:-

- The highlighted name of the channel links to the channel’s home page.
- The embedded video is a favorite video of ours for each channel. For some, it was so hard to choose since there are so many! It also serves as a preview of that channel’s content (If it’s not a channel you already know).
- The subject area links either links to a specific video for that area or a created playlist for that subject area. If it’s linked to a playlist, simply click play-all when you land on that page to hear all the related videos.
- I did not specify preschool from kindergarten because each child is different. However, all of the videos linked below are relevant to those age categories.
- Some of the channels have videos that may be geared to older kids, but I focused on this age group since that’s where I and my kiddos are right now.
- It’s an extensive list, so you can use the resource to check out any channels you might not already know to add to your teaching rotation.
- If I missed any good ones that we have used or still use I would update the list and tag it as updated.
