In this video, I share my journey from homeschooling, from a one-year-at-a-time mindset to becoming committed to walking this journey as long as the Lord will allow.

I’ve been homeschooling now for eight to nine years.

I also discuss the challenges and rewards of homeschooling, including:

my struggle between the loss of independence (based on my past) and the decision to homeschool
the financial decision to stay home
the initial fear of teaching
growth in confidence
growth in faith

I highlight the importance of community and support from family and other homeschoolers. But it may be possible for you to know your ‘whys’ to stand alone if you do not have support. And know that it’s possible.

The impact of personal and family health issues is also shared.
